Craigslist Prostitution Follow-Up

Posted by Maggie on September 5, 2007

The New York Times has an article today on craigslist and prostitution. Frankly, I’m surprised it’s taken this long for the police to get these kinds of stings going. There’s not a whole lot on their methods and it’s unclear how much entrapment took place, but I’d imagine it would be pretty easy to stage. The article is also quite fair to craigslist itself and even points out that instead of blaming the site, law enforcement can take advantage of it.

No mention of child prostitution. I had to post this since my previous post on craigslist and child prostitution in Atlanta is one of my most popular hits. Nothing in the AJC on the subject.
